JBL Says He Was Told Announcers Will Call AAA Worlds Collide In Post

JBL says that announcers are not being brought in for AAA Worlds Collide, and that WWE said they’ll call the show in post. WWE is yet to reveal broadcast plans for the event, which takes place this weekend in Chicago. There was a report suggesting that the show could air on YouTube, but WWE has yet to announce such plans and there is not currently a livestream scheduled on the WWE or AAA YouTube accounts, which is usually the case by now.

JBL seemingly confirmed that the show will not be airing live on Something to Wrestle. In a video posted to the podcast’s Facebook account, he said that he is not going to be there and that announcers are not bring brought in. He also added that they initially asked him to come in but then changed plans. You can see highlights below:

On Not Being At the Show:

“I’m not going to be there. We’re going to call it, I think, post fact. But I’m not going to be there. They asked if I would come in, I said, ‘Absolutely, I’d be happy to.’ But they’re not bringing the announcers in.”

On If He Knows The Broadcast Plans:

“I don’t know, because things have changed so much. They called me about two or three weeks ago and said, ‘Well, would you mind coming in?’ I said, ‘I’d be happy to.’ Becuase I do most things remote. You know, I was down there in Mexico for TripleMania; I was in Vegas for TripleMania. It really helps the feel of the crowd… it’s mush easier.

“But I told them I’d be happy to come to Chicago. But they changed. And what they told us initially, this was a few weeks ago, was that we would probably voice it over next week some time. They may have changed that since, I don’t know because they haven’t said anything about it since.”
